105 degrees Farenheit... and I'm guessing somewhere between 95-100% humidity. Now.. imagine sitting out in that for 2 hours in spandex that didn't breathe.

Note to future team: Bring a serious misting fan.

After we were done on stage, Rens and I literally ran to the ice water bucket and doused ourselves in water.. and it was the best feeling in the world.

A video with bad sound quality of your performance appeared on NicoNico! http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4186391 You need to register to see it though.

OK I'll stop being stalkerish right about now :P

My, that sounds like a sticky situation! o.O

I have a random question. I was watching one of the WCS videos on Youtube, and one comment said, "Some countries were informed that videogame costumes would not be allowed, though. Why's that?"

Is that true? Were you guys instructed not to bring video game costumes? I haven't found any rules that say not to try out at least with them...

that was actually one ofthe issues raised when everything was said done. in the us we were told not to wear video game costumes while in japan and then we saw other cosplayers in costumes from games. apparently every translation for the different countries is not exactly the same. there are key words that could be misinterpetted in different languages. and hopefully that will be changed for some solid rules for everyone. but afaik video games costumes are allowed for the prelims unless stated otherwise. and not allowed in japan.

Ahh, that explains things. Thanks for letting me know! It was confusing to hear the comment and I'm glad that you were available to ask. :D It's refreshing to know that you can still try out in video game costumes, at least (those are my favorites. :D)

BTW, YAY AND CONGRATULATIONS! I saw a video of your crazy Rock-em-Sock-em robots on stage. XD Great job! It's too bad that you had to perform in intense heat, but you two did really well! I'm glad you and Renee got to see Tokyo too; it must have been magical. *_*

Way to go!

Hope you got home OK, the final was pretty hot wasn't it, some mobile air conditioners would be in order.

I was wondering the same thing too about games, technically they are OK anytime except for the championship. I.E. Street Fighter Ken meeting the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo was OK ;P I was wondering about the Sengoku Basara performance in the championship though, turns out that there is a manga for that in Japan so it was permitted.

Looks like you have a little thing at Kinokuniya next week, have fun there and show Team Osaka a good time! Hope to catch up with you sooner than later:)
